Operation Walk Freedom to Move starts second day of screening at Juan Bosch Hospital

We arrive at Juan Bosch Hospital

The second day of our mission starts around 2 AM Portland time 6 AM Dominican time with the 4 hour time difference. I call it "O'Dark Thirty" After a quick breakfast we head to our bus, this will be our routine for the rest of the week.

Yesterday was a very fruitful day at the ILAC clinic. The doctors saw 60 plus patients and scheduled them for surgery throughout the week. Deciding who gets scheduled is based on a combination of injury, need, and whether the parts are available.

The doctors often consult together and with the 2 implant reps who also volunteer there time to come on the mission. It's a very collaborative process.
